Misogyny redux

(Author's note: the language in this one is particularly appalling and misogynistic)

*knock knock knock*

'I'll be there in a sec!'

'Oh God no... W-What are you doing here?!'

'Long time no see, Nyla. You look pretty different. Don't you think you're getting a bit old for the slag look?'

'Stay out!'

'Whoa whoa whoa. No, you don't get to try to close the door on me. How long's it been since I last saw you? Pretty fucking rude of you to just shut me out like that.'

'Austin! You have to go!'

'Just like it was rude the way you walked out on me. Disappearing on me without even a note. Fine way to treat your boyfriend of five years, wasn't it?'

'Funny coincidence that I run into you here in Sunset Valley all this time later. Wasn't even looking for you or nothing – just fancied a change of pace. Then I see you going round town, looking like a washed up hooker. I think there's a lot we need to catch up on.'

'I don't wanna! Please, just leave! I'm really sorry about before!'

'Now why don't I believe you?'

'Please don't hurt me!'

'Hey, what the fuck's goin' on here?!'

'Who are you? New boyfriend?'

'Damn right I am. What the fuck do you think you're doin'?'

'Just thought I'd have a word with my ex. Didn't really get the chance to talk things over last time.'

'So you're Austin, huh? I've heard all 'bout you and what you did to Nyla. The fuck makes you think you've got the right to force your way in here?'

'Like I said, we've got unfinished business. I need a private conversation with Nyla, so I suggest you leave us to it.'

'Hell no. You think I'm gonna leave her alone with you? Get the fuck out!'

'Look, if you've got any sense at all, you'll get the fuck out of this mess while you still can. 'Cos this bitch knows nothing about the concept of loyalty. She's probably already making a fool of you behind your back. Wonder how many of your friends she's already had?'

'Like I'm gonna believe any of that. I know 'bout your fuckin' accusations, how you were always accusin' her of cheatin', just 'cos you got all jealous any time she even looked at another guy. That's a you problem, not her.'

'Austin... I never cheated on you! I wouldn't do that! It was you, y-you were paranoid...'

'She don't need you in her life. You ain't welcome here. So I'll say it again: get outta here.'

'Really got you fooled, hasn't she? I was just trying to do you a favour, man. I don't wanna see another poor idiot get taken in by her like I was.'

'Why the hell would I believe you over her?'

'Sure, I get it. You've known her a lot longer than you've known me and she's very convincing. I understand. I mean, it's your funeral.'

'I never did any of the things you're accusing me of! I was good to you! I gave you so many chances, even after you started hitting me! You had me believing it was all my fault!'

'It was your fault! If you hadn't been disrespecting me, I wouldn't have needed to keep you in line!'

'You never had any right to hit me!'

'You're just a low life woman beater, nothin' more. She fuckin' trusted you and all you did was abuse that trust and hurt her. But you don't get to do that no more. She's moved on. I suggest you do the same, asshole. You're lucky you ain't in prison. This is your last fuckin' chance to leave now, or I'll call the damn cops so they can do it for you.'

'Alright, alright! Fuck, you're sensitive. You'd better hope this useless whore's worth it.'

'If I ever catch you here, or anywhere near Nyla again, I'm gonna beat the shit outta you. I'll give you everythin' you did to her and then some. By the time I'm done, you'll need a tube to breathe. You got that?'

'I'd like to see you try, tough guy. But fine, I'm going. Enjoy your loose little cunt.'

'Oh God...'

'What a fuckin' prick!'

'Hey, baby, it's okay. He's gone now. He ain't comin' back. And if he is stupid enough to, there'll be hell to pay. I ain't gonna let him hurt you.'

'I'm so sorry, Stan...'

'Hey hey, there's nothin' to be sorry for. None of this is your fault.'

'What do I do? He's here, in Sunset Valley! He knows where I live! How am I gonna be able to keep Feli safe?'

'I'm gonna protect you both, Nyla. I swear I will. I did it before and I'll do it again.'

'He's persistent though! He'll be back, I know it! I can't live like that again...'

'I know, baby. Maybe we should talk to the cops.'

'I don't wanna call them...'

'Maybe the cops we know. Ellis or Nalini, they'll be able to do somethin'. That sound okay to you?'

'O-Okay...'

'We can fix this. You gotta believe in me.'
