Welcome
to the beginning of the Farringtons! I initially began with a quick
introduction to the first few characters, and there's no reason why I
shouldn't do it now that I'm redoing the introduction to the story.
Tate
Farrington is the patriarch of this particular branch of the
Farringtons. The Farrington family is an old money, prestigious
family originally hailing from Bridgeport. On the surface, Tate is a
well-respected man, being a right wing politician with a clean image.
The rest of his family, however, see the real him, and it isn't
pretty. On the side, Tate is an experienced hitman. As a
traditionalist, he believes children should be seen and not heard and
women should stay in the kitchen. This hasn't stopped him from having
three of them, but the day to day care of them has never been his
duty.
Sheri
Farrington nee Atwood is Tate's wife. She is not a maternal
woman, and has little love towards neither her husband nor her
children, preferring to write wish-fulfilment novels on the life she
wishes she had. In this position she at least has all the money she
wants to live the high life, which is her only motivation for
staying.
Ellis
Farrington is their eldest son. He is shy, a dog lover - though has sadly never owned one - and a
computer nerd. A sweet, well-mannered boy, he is the opposite to Tate, who finds him most disappointing as a son.
Aria
Farrington, the second born child, is far less well-behaved than
her brother. She hates almost everyone outside of her siblings and
uncle and has a rather explosive temper at times. Her parents have
neither the ability nor the inclination to help mould her into a
better person, which in turn reinforces her bad behaviour. She isn't
all bad, however: she loves her little sister and tries to mother
her.
Saraya
Farrington, the youngest. Only four years old at the start of the
story, this quiet little girl has much developing to do.
Olivia
Atwood nee Slater is Sheri's mother. Despite not initially living
with her daughter and son-in-law, she is now along for the ride, here
to inflict her terrible personality on everyone else. The only
vampire, she recently turned to escape her advancing age and for a
rather helpful strength boost. She, like Tate and Sheri, has no time
for children.
Edward
Farrington, Tate's brother, has mysteriously disappeared. Due to
the incompetence and lack of care from the other adults, he took on a
large share of caring for the children, being their only role model.
Aria looks up to and respects him only, and Ellis also gets along
well with him, given their small age gap. He was a psychology
professor for the University of Bridgeport.
