What has Miles been up to?

Around 20 years before the current point in the timeline, Miles Atwood reclaimed his money from Tate and Olivia after attacking the former, leaving them bankrupt and causing them to move to Sunset Valley – the very beginning of this story, in fact. But what has Miles done in that time?

First he fled Bridgeport to make a life elsewhere. There was nothing left for him there following the death of his father John and his subsequent enforced stay in a mental hospital. He decided upon a new home: Midnight Hollow.

Aged 40, he found a method to stop the ageing process, just like Tate would go on to do. He lay low for a couple of years, simply watching the world and becoming familiar with it again. After all, he spent a long time in isolation. Technology moves on, and he found himself almost alien to the current culture.

He'd always had an interest in the supernatural, and that's how he ended up observing a cult's attempt to summon a demon. They'd failed on many separate occasions, but this time they succeeded.

Enter Aosoth. 700+ years old and now on the surface. She was unable to believe that she'd met a human as sadistic as she was. Indeed, Miles was her match.

They fell in love, married and two years later Hazel came into the world.

The three of them lived as a happy family...
